so i guess many of you have already heard of the song "Please Don't Let Me Go" which has finally landed itself on Malaysian radio. i usually found the song aired on Mix.fm
for some of you, like, have followed the singer of the song, Olly Murs back to his "nobody" days, during X-Factor UK 2009. Olly Murs came second place, after Joe McElderly in the show. i've been a fan since his audition days, back to the day he sings "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder.
his album came out last year, but the single "Please Don't Let Me Go" came out a few months earlier. i followed his songs since that first one and when the second song entitled "Thinking of Me" came out, i knew that his first song will come out in Malaysia eventually.
"Thinking of Me" is my favourite, it still is in my top songs playlist, one of the most long-lasting song in the list. lol.
i was right. but it came out a year after it's been released in the UK. what a shame.
his album entitled Olly Murs has lots of promising songs, both ballads and pop.
it's time for Malaysians to know who's the voice behind the catchy song. maybe he'll come here for a showcase or something in the future. who knows? and recently, he was featured in Galaxie magazine, is hopefully to set his name in this region.
i'm not sure why UK music scene faces hardship to get through this region unless they managed to get into the US music scene,like Adele, only then they will automatically be known worldwide.
